Mall partners with celebrity designers to set up pop-up store

Shoppers who spend a minimum RM500 are eligible to redeem an exclusive tote bag and duit raya packets by the Rizman Ruzaini fashion label.

CENTRAL i-City in Shah Alam has partnered with celebrity designers Rizman Nordin and Ruzaini Wan Jamil to come up with a fashion pop-up store at its main concourse.

The duo, known to fashionistas with their label Rizman Ruzaini, were responsible for creating the beaded, ocean blue evening gown for Miss Universe Malaysia 2020 Francisca Luhong James.

It was announced in the social media pages that this gown will be worn by James at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant in the United States this month.

For this year’s Hari Raya fashion event,

the 15-year-old fashion house will be featuring 20 of their latest designs, priced between RM299 and RM429 each.

Known for their puff-shouldered baju kurung with pleated, billowy sleeves, Rizman Ruzaini’s creations have been worn by celebrities such as Puteri Aishah, Anzalna Nasir, Natasha Hudson and even S. Pavithra, one half of the popular “Sugu Pavithra” YouTube cooking channel.

“Rizman Ruzaini celebrates all curves from the petite to the tall, curvy and voluptuous.

“This collection is created to flaunt their assets.

“The cut is designed to fit all sizes perfectly, including those in the double extra large category, ” said a spokesperson for the fashion label.

The elegantly designed pop-up store will be open until May 23.

Central i-City, which is the venue partner and marketing support in this partnership, said the collaboration was part of its #CentralLuvLocal campaign that aimed to provide a platform for local entrepreneurs to exhibit their products.

“We are proud to work with Rizman Ruzaini and we anticipate it will be a

successful partnership this festive season, ” said Central Pattana Public Company Limited Malaysia (CPN Malaysia) head Anthony Dylan.

The company has 60% stake in i-City Properties.

“We will continue to introduce and bring more homegrown brands to our shoppers while playing our part in reviving the local economy, ” he added.

Shoppers, who spend a minimum RM500, are eligible to redeem an exclusive tote bag and Hari Raya packets by the fashion label. Terms and conditions apply.
