Complaints bureau reopens its doors to public

THOSE who want to seek help from MCA or lodge a public complaint can do so again in person every Friday.

The Johor MCA public complaints bureau reopened its doors on April 23 after temporarily closing it when the second movement control order was enforced in January.

Its bureau chief Kevin Chok Ngen Kerk said during the period, the public could only channel their complaints and issues via telephone calls and social media platforms.

“The public can now head to our office in person every Friday from 10am to 1pm to voice their grouses or seek help from the bureau.

“There will be seven committee members, below the age of 40, who will attend to the public’s needs on issues such as Ah Long cases, scams, Malaysia-Singapore cross-border matters and citizenship registration matters.

“We hope to use the platform to better serve and assist the people, ” he said.

Chok added that the committee members would be working on a rotation basis to provide assistance to those who need help.

The bureau is located within the Johor MCA liaison committee office in Taman Kebun Teh.
