SK magic, a well-known home appliance brand in South Korea, has launched Jiksoo Ria — a tankless water purifier — in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
Priced at RM3,800, the water purifier is equipped with features that will help save electricity, averaging at 730 watt-hour (Wh) of power use daily.
Its Malaysian chapter managing director Kim Kyung Won said the affordable pricing was to help encourage more Malaysians to own a water purifier so they could be mindful of the quality of their drinking water.
Jiksoo Ria, he said, was equipped with an ultra-violet sterilisation system to filter out harmful viruses, bacteria, microplastics and traces of heavy metals often found in water while allowing good minerals to pass through.
“At SK magic, we challenge ourselves to keep innovating to find ways to ensure a quality and healthy life is accessible to everyone.
“The rise in the Covid-19 pandemic since a year ago has increased awareness among people on the need to prioritise and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
“We hope to bring happiness to all with the launch of Jiksoo Ria in light of the upcoming Hari Raya festivity, ” he added at the launch of the product at EQ Kuala Lumpur in Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.
The lack of a tank, said Kim, was meant to eliminate the presence of contaminants commonly found in conventional purifiers.
He takes pride in the appliance’s energy-saving capability, saying that its usage cost was equivalent to 16sen a day and RM5 in the monthly electricity bill.
“Its minimalist design also makes it a convenient appliance to have in any space, while its elegance makes it suitable as a home decor item, ” he said.
Jiksoo Ria dispenses purified water in three different temperature settings, namely cold, hot and ambient.
It is also available for monthly rental at RM75. For details, visit www.skmagic.com.my/main.
