A TEAM of experts has been appointed to conduct the internal investigation of the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) into the cause of the tragedy at Perak Road where a roadside tree fell and crushed a car, killing its driver.

In a statement, MBPP said it had enlisted the help of experts consisting of Penang Botanic Gardens curator Datuk Dr Saw Leng Guan, the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Penang branch and the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) Northern Chapter.
