Reminder to lay down house rules on homestays

JOINT management bodies (JMB) and management committees (MC) of residential buildings are reminded that they have the right to lay down house rules to prevent homestays and short-term guests.

State local government committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said the JMB and MC of strata schemes are allowed to enact a bylaw to prevent short-term accommodations under Section 70(2) of the Strata Management Act 2013 (SMA).
