Foundation helps organisation for the hearing impaired upgrade its premises

Silent Teddies Bakery was set up 11 years ago by Community Service Centre for the Deaf (CSCD) to provide training and employment for the hearing impaired.

After more than a decade, both premises in Lorong Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, are in need of refurbishment, so a RM37,000 grant from Sompo Welfare Foundation is timely.The foundation is the charitable arm of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc, which supports social welfare activities.
