Handmade face mask campaign designed to help B40 women


KTJ’s unique face masks.

In conjunction with International Women’s Day, Wellous Malaysia is collaborating with Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ) to launch its “Mask on to support B40” campaign to help underprivileged women.

According to KTJ chief executive officer and co-founder Yap Sue Yi, the campaign was aimed at helping B40 women and their families, including single mothers, the disabled and stay-at-home mums, by providing them the opportunity to earn an income through sewing.

The campaign sees Wellous partnering with special tailors who design cloth-based reusable face masks.

Customers who purchase three boxes of Liveon will receive an exclusive face mask.

Wellous chief executive officer Racheal Tan said, “We hope this small effort will in some way help the women who are struggling to survive.

“We want to remember the vulnerable community and give back to society.

“We selected KTJ as our partner because our brand shares the same mission as KTJ, which is to reach out to vulnerable women living among us as well as transform and enhance their lives.”
