Shah Alam mayor Haris is Selangor's new finance officer


SHAH ALAM: Mayor Datuk Haris Kasim has been appointed the new Selangor state finance officer, the State Secretary’s office announced via its Facebook page on Tuesday (March 15).

Haris, 58, the Shah Alam City Council's (MBSA) eighth mayor, has served in that position since May 2019.

He fills the position that was vacated by Datuk Nor Azmie Diron, who was appointed state secretary on Feb 3.

Before becoming mayor, Haris was Selangor Islamic Religious Department director in 2015 and also served as Hulu Langat district officer.

He was also previously with the Kuala Selangor District Office, Hulu Langat Land and District Office, and Sepang Land and District Office.
