IPOH: The Kampar District Council has extended the time to pay the assessment tax until March 31.
District council president Abdul Halim Saad said it was to allow more time for the people to settle their bills.
Abdul Halim said the extension was due to the movement control order that was implemented between Jan 22 and Feb 18.
"We hope the people will take this opportunity to settle their arrears and be eligible for the lucky draw campaign," he said in a statement.
"After March 31, the 'E Notice' (fine) will be issued to those who failed to settle their payment," he added.
Abdul Halim also said he encourages the people to pay their bills via online through https://fpx.mdkampar.gov.my or https://pbtpay.kpkt.gov.my/.
He added that the people can also pay using banking applications like CIMB Clicks, Maybank2u, JomPAY and Snap N Pay.
