THERE is only moderate level of awareness among self-employed workers in Terengganu to contribute toward the Social Security Organisation (Socso).
Terengganu Socso director Farihah Che Husin said that as of last year, only 3,924 self-employed workers from various sectors had contributed under Socso’s Self-Employment Social Security Scheme (SKSPS) and she estimated that there were about 25,000 people who are self-employed in the state.
