Helping frontliners fuel up with coffee

Nadma personnel assisted in distributing goodie bags provided by PDB to quarantine centres.

In conjunction with Chinese New Year, Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB) has curated a bundle of treats to spread love and joy during these challenging times.

Through its annual Petronas Coffee Break campaign, the company has contributed complimentary coffee and snacks as well as other attractive giveaways to frontliners at 15 hospitals nationwide and to the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma).

The campaign partners include Nestle Products Sdn Bhd, Etika Sdn Bhd, Delfi Marketing Sdn Bhd, Shopee Mobile Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Adabi Consumer Industries Sdn Bhd, Podirect Trading (M) Sdn Bhd and iNova Pharmaceutical (S) Pte Ltd (M’sia Branch).

Introduced in 1998, the Petronas Coffee Break campaign is one of PDB’s flagship road safety campaigns.

It serves to remind motorists to stay safe on the road, especially during festive seasons, which typically record higher volume of road travellers.

Since the implementation of the movement control order last March, PDB has redirected its contributions to benefit the frontliners and continue to do so this year.

PDB managing director and chief executive officer Azrul Osman Rani said while this Chinese New Year celebration might not be the same in embracing the new normal, the company was eager to spread joy and help the frontliners persevere.

“We hope the Coffee Break goodies will power their day and remind them to take a break to re-energise, ” he said.

In addition to the coffee break campaign, PDB also has a host of offerings for its customers at its stations nationwide.

From now until March 31, a total of 236 Kad Mesra members who make any redemption will be in the running to win prizes, including Samsung Galaxy S10, A30s, or A50s; Samsung Galaxy gadgets (watch, buds, FIT), as well as 2,000 Mesra points.

This festive season, PDB has expanded its Makan@Mesra offerings to include new year limited-edition menu comprising local favourites such as yee sang, prawn and mandarin slices salad, garlic fried rice with black pepper chicken or beef, and mandarin orange mousse.

PDB is also encouraging Malaysians to support local products via its Love Local campaign which offers an array of local snacks and beverages at its Kedai Mesra.

The Petronas Primax fuels and Petronas Syntium lubricants have been recently enhanced to provide the ultimate power and performance for a worry-free journey.
