Motorists brave massive jam to cross bridge

Long queues of vehicles seen behind a police roadblock (background, right) at Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway near the exit to the Penang Bridge while cars on the left head towards south of Penang island.

Motorists exiting the island via Penang Bridge were caught in a massive traffic jam for about two hours.

Cars and lorries from the city to the bridge intersection were stuck in gridlock traffic due to the police roadblock mounted just before the entrance to the bridge at Tun Lim Chong Eu Expressway yesterday.
