OVER 700 computers have been given out for free to needy students in Penang since the Penang E-Learning Computer Programme started in May last year.

Penang social development and non-Islamic religious affairs committee chairman Chong Eng said under the programme, 730 computers were given free to students and 97 units more to schools from May last year to Jan 24 this year.
