THE year 2020 was undoubtedly a challenging one.

The unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic that swept in like a whirlwind transformed life as we knew it, making changes and adaptations necessary to keep safe from the virus which is wreaking havoc across the world.

However, in the face of challenges, we have all risen to the occasion and tackled hardships with positivity, embracing the new norm and alternative ways of living and working.

This echoes the belief Eu Yan Sang has in the value of overcoming hindrances to welcome greater things with hard work and positivity.

In line with this, Eu Yan Sang presents Ushering in A Joyful Year as its theme for 2021’s Lunar New Year. This represents hope that everyone can celebrate 2021 with happiness and well-being.

Gratitude is a value Eu Yan Sang has always strongly advocated.

As a part of tradition and culture, etiquette represents civility – respecting the elders, observing customs, displaying appropriate manners and behaviour, maintaining a clean and tidy appearance and such.

In present circumstances, it is even more important to treat each other with courtesy towards achieving social order and harmony.

To advocate tradition and culture and pass it on from one generation to another, Eu Yan Sang has rolled out a short video clip this year titled A Drop of Water in Need.

The story revolves around its protagonist Xiao Chen who was looked after by his neighbours and relatives at a young age when his parents were busy.

He keeps his father’s teachings in mind and passes on the culture of gratitude.

The video has been uploaded on Eu Yan Sang’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Do head to either one of the platforms to view the video and share.

In the spirit of giving, Eu Yan Sang instituted its Bucket of Gold charity project – an ongoing effort of the company for the past 18 years.

Yayasan Sunbeams Home is the beneficiary of the Bucket of Gold this year. The non-profit organisation provides shelter for displaced, abused or neglected children.

Besides providing necessities and basic education for the children, they also give love and protection to the deprived kids.

The Bucket of Gold charity drive starts from today until Feb 26.

Those interested to help can call Eu Yan Sang’s hotline at 1300 888 213.

This year, other than rolling out unique designs as it does every year, Eu Yan Sang is also launching a variety of Chinese New Year hampers featuring traditional paper cuttings and baskets with 3D effects.
