Walk in for affordable Covid-19 tests in PJ

AFFORDABLE Covid-19 tests are available at the MBPJ Multipurpose Hall until tomorrow.

The rapid antigen (RTK-AG) tests will be conducted at the venue in Jalan 51A/227, Petaling Jaya, from 1pm to 5pm.

Priced at RM70 per person, the hall can accommodate up to 250 walk-in patients per day.

“We have been conducting the affordable testing in three clinics within the Bukit Gasing constituency, ” said Bukit Gasing assemblyman Rajiv Rishyakaran in a statement.

“However, we had to temporarily suspend the programme and look for a bigger venue to accommodate the bigger crowd.”

He said the sessions were only available for five days, until tomorrow, as the organisers wanted to evaluate the programme and make changes, if needed.

“We are calling for doctors or testing partners to join us so that we can keep this initiative going.

“We will be using Rela volunteers to help with security and placing a few staff on site to ensure everyone adheres to the SOP.

“The main reason we are continuing our initiative is to meet the demand for affordable testing, as many have come into contact with a person who tested positive, ” he added.
