THE ferry service from the Kuala Perlis terminal to Langkawi in Kedah has been halted during the conditional movement control order period.
However, the roll-on, roll-off ferry service to Langkawi will be operating as usual.
“The passenger ferry service will resume when the conditional MCO is lifted, ” said Ferryline Ventures Sdn Bhd human resource and operations manager Captain Baharin Baharom.
During a recent visit, Bernama found the Kuala Perlis ferry terminal deserted.
The conditional MCO is ongoing in Kedah, Pahang, Perak, Negri Sembilan and Terengganu until Jan 26.
During the same period, Penang, Selangor, the Federal Territories
(Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan), Melaka, Johor and Sabah are under the MCO while Perlis and parts of Sarawak have been placed under the recovery MCO.
Meanwhile, Kelantan is now under MCO effective Jan 16 to 29. — Bernama
