Her husband Azrul Azwan Rosidan, a 30-year-old businessman, said they were excited for their journey as first-time parents.

It was also an emotional day for housewife Shervinjeet Kaur, 34, and her husband Manraj Singh Bhart when they held their 3.03kg baby girl for the first time after the delivery at 7.07pm at Columbia Asia Hospital.

“We have been trying for a child for seven years. All the pain melted away when I saw our baby girl for the first time, ” said Shervinjeet.

Sales manager Foo Yun Hoe, 29, whose 26-year-old wife Moh Phooi Yan gave birth to their second child, said the arrival of their baby boy was a blessing to the family.

“We are thrilled that our second child was born on such a significant day, after a tough 2020 because of the pandemic, ” said Foo.

Hospital general manager Dr Ding Eng Li said all the mothers and their babies were doing well, adding that the families received a gift pack each from the hospital. — By YEE XIANG YUN
