Pandemic causes huge dent in Selayang council’s revenue, upsets tourism plans

THE Covid-19 pandemic has put a major strain on economic activities, especially tourist sites managed by local authorities.

This year, Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) saw an 80% reduction in visitors at tourist spots such as Bukit Lagong Forest Reserve, Gua Damai Extreme Park, Kanching Eco Forest Park, Blue Lake in Kundang, Templer Park and Commonwealth Forest Park.
