THE lifting of interstate travel ban has accelerated the state’s efforts to promote Penang as a diverse destination with all the attractions of the world.

With the theme “Experience It All in Penang, Responsibly”,

the state tourism and creative economy committee has embarked on a campaign to put the state on the map as a place of world-class attraction and experiences.

“There are 14 similar experiences available in other parts of the world that one can experience in Penang, ” said committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin when launching the campaign.

“The Penang Hill funicular train to Hong Kong’s Peak Tram, The Top Penang’s Rainbow Skywalk to China’s Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge or Penang’s Escape Adventureplay to Singapore’s Forest Adventure, to name a few.

“The campaign is focused on reminding domestic tourists that they can travel around the world, locally, while supporting local businesses and the community to survive during these tough times, ” Yeoh added.
