The Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM) is seeking a special allocation of RM100mil from the government for fishermen’s housing projects next year.
Its director-general Othman Abdul Latiff said this was an addition to the existing allocation of RM450mil for LKIM since 2012, to ensure the welfare of fishermen was being taken care of and their houses were in good condition.
