Dams and park reopen to visitors tomorrow

THE Bukit Dumbar Recreational Park, Ayer Itam Dam and Teluk Bahang Dam on Penang island will reopen to the public from tomorrow onwards.

Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) also announced that the expanded Mengkuang Dam in Seberang Prai would be opened to the public from tomorrow as well.

The Bukit Dumbar Recreational Park and all the dams will be opened to the public from 7am to 7pm daily for use as green recreation areas.

For Bukit Dumbar, Ayer Itam Dam and Teluk Bahang Dam, PBAPP said the maximum number of visitors at any one time at each dam is

200 persons, while the maximum number of visitors allowed at the expanded Mengkuang Dam at any one time is 350 persons.

Visitors must register using the MySejahtera app or written registration record and observe a three to five metre physical distance.

Only individual recreational activities are allowed while no group activities can be held.

Anyone with a temperature higher than 37.5°C will not be allowed in.
