Vibrant series for stamp collectors

Pos Malaysia’s Deepavali 2020 stamp collection features 10 intricate kolam-inspired designs.

IN CONJUNCTION with the Festival of Lights, Pos Malaysia has released its Deepavali 2020 stamp collection featuring 10 intricate kolam-inspired designs.

The stamp sheet features a diya (festive oil lamp) decorative centrepiece with the message “May the light shine upon you this festive season, ” making it a unique festive gift for celebrants.

The stamp collection is available for purchase in the form of folder sets and stamp sheets.

The folder set is priced at RM38, consisting of a stamp sheet with 10 60sen stamps, a folder, three souvenir covers (envelopes) and three postcards.

The stamp sheet is priced at RM25 per piece.

Avid stamp collectors and enthusiasts should get their copy of this unique collection, as there are only 500 folder sets and 200 stamp sheets produced for this limited series.

Pos Malaysia group marketing head Schrene Goh said, “Deepavali symbolises the triumph of inner light over spiritual darkness.

“Pos Malaysia wishes all Malaysians a Happy Deepavali and a wonderful celebration with your loved ones.”

The Deepavali limited-edition stamp collection is the fourth instalment of festive-themed stamps issued this year, following Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the Gawai as well as Kaamatan harvest festivals.

On a side note, stamp collectors and the public may sign up for the standing order deposit account (Soda) to experience a hassle-free process in purchasing the latest stamp issues as well as enjoy exclusive benefits.
