Smart Selangor bus service improved in Selayang

SELAYANG Municipal Council (MPS) has improved the network of the Smart Selangor bus service within the municipality by expanding its coverage to include several new areas from Nov 1.

MPS said in a statement that the improvements to the existing routes and number of buses used for each route are as follows:

> MPS1 (Selayang Mutiara-Gombak LRT Station) — addition of route to Kampung Bendahara, Selayang. Number of buses: six;

> MPS2A (Rawang-Rawang Bus Terminal) — addition of route to Rawang Perdana. Number of buses: three; and

> MPS2B (Tesco Rawang-Taman Garing Utama) — addition of route to Taman Garing Utama. Number of buses: one.

MPS said the additions to the existing routes involved one new stop for MPS1,26 new stops for MPS2A and 28 new stops for MPS2B.

Close to 6.5 million passengers have benefitted from MPS’ Smart Selangor bus service since it was implemented in 2015.

The council expressed hope that the additional routes would have a positive impact by providing convenience and comfort to users living in the municipality.

All passengers and drivers are reminded to follow the National Security Council and Health Ministry guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic, including physical distancing, wearing face masks as well as washing hands before and after using any public transport.
