Congregational, Friday prayers allowed in Mukim 12


MOSQUES and surau in Mukim 12 which has been placed under a conditional movement control order (MCO) are allowed to hold Friday prayers and other congregational prayers, subject to the standard operating procedure set by the authorities.

Penang mufti Datuk Seri Dr Wan Salim Wan Mohd Noor said in accordance with the decision taken by the state Islamic affairs committee meeting, the number of people in the congregation is based on the actual capacity of the prayer hall of the mosques or surau concerned.
