SPORTS equipment and prizes worth RM3,300 are up for grabs during the Seberang Prai City Council (MBSP) virtual ride, which ends Nov 22.
The month-long competition, which started on Thursday, is divided into two categories, namely Longest Distance in a single ride and Longest Distance within the competition period.
For each category, participants are divided into the public and council staff members.
Participants are required to take a screenshot of their ride data from their respective applications used to track the distance and submit the data as proof.
Winners stand a chance to bag sports equipment, medals and certificates.
There are also lucky draw prizes to be won.
MBSP mayor Datuk Rozali Mohamud said the virtual cycling event was aimed at encouraging and rewarding those who are still pursuing a healthy lifestyle amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Participants must complete their ride within Seberang Prai, ” he said.
“Records to prove the ride must be submitted and for accumulated distances, multiple submissions can be made, ” he added.
