A BILL to grant the state museum board power to monitor the operations of private and commercial museums in Penang was passed unanimously at the state assembly meeting.

Tabled by Penang tourism and creative economy committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin, the Penang State Museum Board Enactment Bill 2020 stipulated that those who wanted to open any museum would need approval from the authorities.
