Pos Malaysia’s special video also thanks frontliners for their hard work.

POS Malaysia embraced the new norm by celebrating the 51st World Post Day with less fanfare but with the same unwavering spirit.

This year, the company took a different approach by launching a special video highlighting its digital enhancements and thanking frontliners for their hard work during this challenging time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The video is available on Pos Malaysia’s official YouTube channel and website.

Postal Services chief executive officer Mohamed Rozaidi Md Sharif said, “Pos Malaysia has undergone many changes since its founding in the 1800s.

“From manual to automated and digital operations, Pos Malaysia continues to innovate using new technology to optimise sorting and delivery as well as improve our supply chain from first to last mile deliveries.

“We has redefined our mission from just delivering mail and parcels to becoming a future e-commerce centre, fulfilling the changing needs of our customers following the growth of e-commerce globally.”

With this year’s World Post Day themed “More Than Mail”, Mohamed Rozaidi said Pos Malaysia was proud to uphold the spirit through digital innovation to enhance customer experience, extend efficient and reliable support to e-commerce players and create job opportunities through its Pos Rider programme.

The company has also launched its “Innovation of Pos Malaysia” stamp collection to commemorate the day, featuring innovative products and services introduced to meet the new demands of postal operations and the ever-changing needs of consumers.

The collection offers three stamp designs featuring the Mobile Post Office@Pos-On-Wheels, Pos Automated Machines and Pos Laju EziBox.

A total of 200,000 pieces will be issued for each design, with a denomination of RM1.30 each.

Other philatelic products, such as the first day cover and folder, are priced at 50sen and RM6 respectively. Stamp collectors may obtain the whole set at RM29.90.

The stamp collection will be available via Pos Malaysia’s online store at www.eziemall.com and all post offices nationwide soon.

Pos Malaysia invites the public to join in World Post Day celebrations by taking a selfie with your neighbourhood postman or Pos Laju delivery personnel (with proper physical distancing of course) and posting it on Pos Malaysia’s social media platforms with the wish Happy #WorldPostDay2020.
