Bill redraft proposal to lift standards of museums

PENANG is looking to redraft a bill under the Penang State Museum Board Enactment to grant the board new powers to supervise and monitor operations of private and personal museums around the state.

Penang tourism and creative economy committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said a bill redraft proposal was suggested to the Attorney General’s Chamber last year to draft a new bill to replace the existing Penang State Museum Board Enactment 1972.
