Increase in physical domestic abuse

THERE is an uptrend in the number of physical domestic abuse cases recorded this year, based on the All Women’s Action Society (Awam) records.

The NGO’s programmes and operations manager Nisha Sabanayagam said that during the movement control order (MCO) period from March 25 to Aug 19, a total of 32 physical domestic abuse cases involving men beating their partners were reported.
