Campaign to support home-grown brands

LOCAL businesses are reeling from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the spirit of coming together as a nation to help rebuild our economy after the ravages of the disease, Watsons is calling on its customers and members to support home-grown brands under its #FeelGreatwithLokal campaign.

The campaign was launched by Watsons with the aim of helping local businesses weather the current economic difficulties.

In addition, Watsons is offering discount of 60% on the second item purchased, for over 500 products.

The promotion period is from Sept 1 to 28.

“We are committed to doing good and giving back to the community, ” said Watsons Malaysia managing director Caryn Loh.

“During these challenging times, we should continue to support one another and boost the economy for our people.

“Watsons Malaysia pledges to support Malaysian brands that we carry, both in physical stores and online.

“We will continue to help our local brands to grow and sustain their businesses during this pandemic.

“Even as we go through this recovery process, each of us must play a role as customers to support these local brands, ” added Loh.

Watsons has produced a video to promote home-grown brands, in which the brand owners share their brand aspirations and stories. Among them is Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin whose Simplysiti beauty products are exclusively available at Watsons.

“Simplysiti was my first project when I started my entrepreneurship. It has already been 10 years since its launch.

“I am proud that the brand is part of the Watsons family, ” said Siti Nurhaliza.

#FeelGreatwithLokal aims to invigorate Malaysian brands and give them a boost in line with the Government’s efforts to accelerate the recovery of the Malaysian economy by supporting local businesses.

Watsons members can take part in the Cuti-Cuti Lokal contest in which they can win travel packages worth more than RM20,000 when they spend RM50 and above in a single receipt on local brands.
