Joint operation targets heavy vehicles parked in residential areas

A TOTAL of 56 compounds and 56 summonses were issued during a joint operation to book owners of heavy vehicles parked in residential areas in Subang Jaya, Puchong and Serdang.

Twenty-eight investigation notices were also issued during the operation conducted by Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ), Subang Jaya and Serdang police, and the Road Transport Department.

MPSJ Corporate and Strategic Management Department deputy director Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said in a statement that the operation was aimed at educating drivers, increasing discipline and addressing complaints on traffic obstruction.

Some 60 officers took part in the joint operation.

The one-day session covered Jalan Persiaran Subang Mas, Jalan TP 7, Taman Pinggiran USJ, Persiaran Subang Permai, Puchong Permai (Uptown) and Persiaran Puchong Prima (under IPD Subang Jaya) as well as Taman Kinrara 4/1 and 4/5, Jalan Putra Permai Taman Equine and Jalan 3/8 Serdang Jaya (under IPD Serdang).
