IN CONJUNCTION with National Day and Malaysia Day, Yakult (M) Sdn Bhd is holding its “Sihat Bersama Yakult” contest that aims to reward customers for their purchase of Yakult probiotic health drinks.

The contest, which kicked off on Aug 3 and will end by Oct 4, is held in collaboration with BrandCode, a grocery app that rewards shoppers.

Yakult (M) managing director Hiroshi Hamada said, “As a world pioneer of probiotics, it is Yakult’s responsibility to raise public awareness of the importance of good digestive health and how a healthy, balanced gut microbiota is the key to strong immunity against infections.

“During this time, when we are facing a surge of infectious diseases such as Covid-19 and influenza, we need to encourage Malaysians to keep their immunity strong. One method is by regular consumption of probiotics.”

The contest has prizes for daily and weekly winners on top of a grand prize.

Throughout the contest period, there will be three lucky contestants selected daily through a computer-generated system to receive a limited-edition Yakult power bank, while five contestants a week will each win a RM200 cash prize.

Lastly, the consumer with the highest purchase of Yakult products, at the end of the contest, stands a chance to walk away with a cash prize of RM4,000.

Consumers can participate by following three simple steps: buy any Yakult products worth at least RM5 in a single receipt at any retail store, download the BrandCode app and attach a valid receipt as well as screenshot a GIF photo from the contest page to be in the running to win the prizes.

“Yakult is a probiotic drink that contains 30 billion of probiotic live culture Lactobacillus casei Shirota strain, which has been proven scientifically to improve overall gut function,” said Hamada.

“Seventy percent of our immune system begins from the gut.

“Thus, maintaining a healthy intestine is the first step to building a strong immune system.

“Through this contest, we aim to educate consumers on the importance of probiotics and we hope people will continue to consume Yakult for a healthy intestine,” he added.
