KAJANG Municipal Council (MPKj) is offering discounts of up to RM20 until Aug 31 for outstanding parking summonses.
MPKj public relations head Kamarul Izlan Sulaiman said payments could be made at all MPKj counters and that a simplified payment system had been introduced.
The public can pay all or part of the outstanding compounds by scanning a single barcode at kiosks, payment counters at MPKj headquarters and branch offices, as well as MPKj mobile counters open in selected areas.
Payments can also be done via the FlexiParking and Smart Selangor Parking apps.
Kamarul said the total value of outstanding parking summonses since August 2017 was more than RM1mil.
Starting today, MPKj’s mobile counters will be open at Dataran Perniagaan Cheras, Jalan PB 2C (in front of 99 Speedmart on Aug 24), Bandar Mahkota Cheras (in front of PappaRich on Aug 25), Kajang town (in front of Czip Lee on Aug 26) and Bandar Damai Perdana (in front of 99 Speedmart on Aug 27).
Meanwhile, Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) is also offering a RM20 discount on parking compounds until Aug 31.
Payments can be made via the council’s mobile payment counters and mobile apps. For details, visit www.mpsepang.gov.my/
At Selayang Municipal Council (MPS), there are a total of 153,755 outstanding parking summonses as of August, amounting to RM9.9mil.
MPS Corporate Communications deputy director Ahmad Fauzi Ishak said the council had introduced a RM20 discount on parking summonses, which ended on June 30.
He added that those with unpaid compounds could pay them at MPS payment counters and mobile counters as well as via the Flexi Parking 2.0 and Smart Selangor Parking apps.
