KUCHING: The Mental Health Association of Sarawak (MHAS) supports calls to decriminalise suicide attempts, following a recent prosecution in Peninsular Malaysia.
The association said the colonial-era legislation should no longer be on the statute books, as it meant that the moment people needed help they could instead find themselves prosecuted, imprisoned or fined.
