Incentives for Ipoh council staff who avoid plastics, polystyrene


Ipoh’s flea market called Memory Lane in Jalan Horley has resumed operations.

THE Ipoh City Council is encouraging its staff to reduce the use of polystyrene and plastics at the premises.

Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin said among the incentives given to staff included offering discounts to those who packed their food at the canteen using their own containers.“Starting July 17, those using own containers to buy food at the canteen were given a 30sen discount.
