IT IS not proper for hostels and Airbnb to operate in residential areas in Selangor, says state local government, public transport and new village development committee chairman Ng Sze Han.
“Hostels are only allowed in commercial areas or empty residential plots that have yet to be developed,” he added. Empty residential plots refer to vacant land gazetted for residential purpose, and can have temporary conversion as hostel.
