JOHOR BARU: Only half of the 1,191 kindergartens and childcare centres under the Johor Community Development Department (Kemas) reopened on July 1.
Johor women, family and community development committee chairman Zaiton Ismail said 546 kindergartens were open while the rest would resume operations in stages starting from July 15.
