A TOTAL of RM18,000 has been allocated for a kindergarten in Kampung Sungai Lui, Hulu Langat, to erect a wall to replace the surrounding fence.

Deputy National Unity Minister Ti Lian Ker said the fence surrounding the kindergarten had been damaged.

“The kindergarten operator reached out to us about his plight.

“There is a mini garden in the kindergarten and animals might damage the garden if they got in through the broken fence.

“So I proposed to build a wall to protect the garden.

“At the same time, we will paint a unity-themed mural on it, ” he told StarMetro.

Meanwhile, during an official visit to Sungai Ruan in Raub, Pahang, Ti distributed dumplings to old folks, single mothers and shopowners in conjunction with the Dragon Boat Festival that fell on June 25.

Ti said the small contributions would spread some cheer to the needy.
