Drain culvert built illegally in Pekan Meru removed

A MONSOON drain culvert built illegally by some residents in Jalan Cempaka in Pekan Meru, Klang, and believed to have caused several flash floods in the area, has been demolished.

Klang District and Land Office chief assistant district officer Mohd Shahrizal Mohd Salleh said the Public Works Department (JKR) had requested that the culvert be removed as it had caused five incidents of flash floods in the area this year.
