THE Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry has conducted checks on 1,791 stalls at public markets in Penang since the movement control order (MCO) was implemented on March 18.

The ministry’s Penang enforcement chief Chin Ching Chung said 16 notices were issued to 11 traders and five wholesalers under Section 21 of the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011.
