MORNING markets, open markets, night markets and bazaars in the state will be allowed to open in stages beginning June 15, says Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
Amirudin said the National Security Council’s standard operating procedure would be used as a basic reference in implementation and enforcement.
“However, local authorities will adjust the SOP ... based on the areas concerned.
“The state will be stern and not hesitate to seal any premises or area deemed risky if any party fails to comply with the SOP fully, ” he said in a statement Thursday (June 11).
He added that all activities whether economic, social or recreational, must follow the SOP set by the council.
He also said that music and art classes, as well as hiking activities of up to three persons in a group, were now allowed as long as social distancing is observed.
He also reminded public of the importance of scanning the QR code with the Selangkah system before entering any premises, wearing face masks, and practising good hygiene like washing their hands often.
