THE Penang Fisheries Department has assured that fishes from farms in the state are safe for consumption and not poisonous following reports showing carcasses of fishes washing up along several beaches in Penang and northern Perak.
Its director Noraisyah Abu Bakar said fishes reared at farms in the state are safe to eat and have no effects on human health.
