JOHOR BARU: The recent flood which hit parts of Plentong and Johor Jaya on Thursday was due to a failure in the water retention pond meant to relieve storm drains of excess water.

Pasir Gudang MCA chief Tan Tuan Peng said a two-metre wall meant to stop water overflowing from the pond had cracked.
