Water bills to be recalculated, but consumption higher in May-to-June period

HOUSEHOLDS in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya showed an average increase of 15% a month in water consumption during the conditional movement control order (MCO) period from early May to early June, says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).

Its corporate communications head Elina Baseri said this was their finding after they resumed on-site meter reading at customers’ premises on May 2, after all meter reading had been halted at the start of the MCO in March.
