A SPORTS club in Penang with a history going back to 1909 -- 111 years ago -- has seen its end.
Penang Indian Recreation Club, which was formed in the same era as other venerable clubs such as Penang Swimming Club and Penang Sports Club, was deregistered by the Registrar of Societies last November.
