Prepaid Internet plan with free life insurance coverage

DIGI Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, together with AXA Affin Life Insurance, is offering Digi Abadi –- Malaysia’s first-of-its-kind prepaid Internet plan that comes with free life insurance cover.

The limited-edition plan is an effort by both companies to ensure Malaysians continue to stay connected and well protected, especially at a time when health is a key concern for everyone.

Available via Digi Online Store for 100,000 customers, the prepaid plan is open to eligible Malaysians aged between 30 and 55.

To subscribe to Digi Abadi, customers will need to purchase the starter kit at RM28, preloaded with a life insurance cover of up to RM40,000 for death, accidental death and funeral expenses –- providing customers protection at no additional cost.

The plan offers customers 3GB of fast Internet quota with 30 days validity, 10sen/minute for calls and SMS to all networks and a 365-day SIM validity.

Every 30 days, this plan renews at RM20 whereby customers continue to enjoy the life insurance coverage and Internet quota.

Customers will also enjoy loyalty bonuses of up to RM55,000 life insurance and 6GB Internet quota the longer they stay on the plan.

The plan is open to new registrations only.

Existing Digi customers will need to register a new line if they are interested.

Each customer is entitled to only one line with one life insurance policy.

“Our aim is to provide customers with an easy and affordable way to look after their family as Malaysians brave through these unprecedented times,” said Digi chief marketing officer Loh Keh Jiat.

“We understand the renewed urgency to be insured while being able to manage spend on essentials such as connectivity.

“So we developed this plan to give customers the peace of mind of knowing they are protected without any additional financial commitments.

“It is truly one plan with two great values; maintain your line and you continue to enjoy connectivity and be insured for free.”

Customers will enjoy loyalty bonuses with consistent renewals.

They will receive an extra RM5,000 in death benefit and a 1GB upgrade to the base Internet quota on every 13th renewal, with a maximum of three upgrades that will increase their Internet quota to 6GB and death benefit up to RM45,000.

The accidental death and funeral expenses benefits remain at RM8,000 and RM2,000 respectively.
