Association provides lunch for poor in Pandamaran

THE underprivileged, including the homeless, around Pandamaran in Port Klang are fortunate to be given lunch and dry provisions on a regular basis.

Many would gather at Jalan Besar in Pandamaran for lunch three times a week.

Klang MCA Wanita chief Tee Hooi Ling said the initiative was organised by the Love and Care Association.

“Our association provides them with a wholesome lunch of rice, vegetables and chicken or fish on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

“We also provide them with dry provisions like bread, coffee powder and eggs, on a weekly basis, ” said Tee who is a committee member of the association.

She added that the seven-year-old association has a kitchen which prepares food for about 100 in Meru.

“It gives all of us great satisfaction to help the underprivileged, ” said Tee, who is also Selangor MCA Wanita chief.
