No stalls in front of houses for Ramadan, traders warned

Ting (right) wants roadside stalls like this one to be taken down.

SIBU: Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) has warned food traders to stop setting up stalls in front of their houses or by the roadside during this fasting month as the movement control order (MCO) is still in force.

The council together with the police conducted surprise checks at Kampong Dato and Jalan Masjid after scores of people had crowded roadside stalls along Jalan Kampung Dato on the first day of Ramadan.
