PETALING JAYA: The state government will channel RM1mil in the form of discount vouchers to support the Selangor E-Bazar Raya with Shopee, the online business platform.
About 3,000 conventional businesses will now be able to move to the online platform.
It will also help the existing 2,000 online businesses in the state.
Other entrepreneurial businesses that will benefit from the Selangor E-Bazar Raya are the state’s microcredit Hijrah Selangor scheme, PKNS, SITEC Online 100 and Agro Selangor.
Meanwhile, Shopee will channel over RM1mil worth of packages and resources matching the government’s pledge for the Selangor E-Bazar Raya.
This is in addition to RM12mil previously announced by Shopee to support small-medium enterprises and micro-businesses through its platform.
“With this initiative, the Selangor E-Bazar Raya is able to offer more incentive to buyers and boost businesses, ” said Selangor Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari.
The Selangor E-Bazar Raya campaign will be carried out for two months starting May until the end of June this year.
Businesses that are not part of the state’s programme are also eligible to be part of the Selangor E-Bazar Raya for free.
Businesses interested to be part of the Selangor E-Bazar Raya with Shoppe are welcomed to register for free at http://tiny.cc/selangorebazar.
Throughout the programme, Shopee will create a new microsite to promote business products using live stream.
