THE digital era in Penang needs to be accelerated for the state to embrace the ‘new normal’ in the post-Covid-19 recovery.

State town and country planning committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said while Penang had concrete plans to achieve a smart state status, these plans need to be prioritised.
